"And if you're a Democrat who saw fit to vote to allow this President to continue his war without even a withdrawal date to reconsider his investment in blood and tears, you too must share the pain of each of the 3500 lives lost. For this President could not continue this crime against humanity wihout being allowed to do so.
The count will grow as will the pain. The courage of our fighting soldiers is never in doubt. Sadly, the courage of this Congress is."

I'd only it should be any party - Democrat, Republican, Ind. that enabled this President in this last vote -- they directly disobeyed the will and desires of the people they represent.

BETRAYED
A few days ago, the Congress that American people sent to change the direction of the Iraq war failed us. The hope I had in our Democratic Party FAILED ... they turned yellow and gave the worst President - ever a blank check and enabled more of his failed policy.
I'm contemplating registering an Independent -- I'm tired of the playing of party politics instead of doing what is truly right.
Our current administration has committed high crimes, yet "Impeachment is off the table"???
What a disappointing and hopeless time right now in America.

Rats ....
I figured he probably wasn't going to wind up running, but I still want to say "Rats." Tom would have made a fine president -- and I think he would have run had he not been defeated by Thune. (I also feel SD would have been much better off had Thune NOT won.)

YEAH George!!!
We have Sen. George McGovern's book -- which is statistically sound and fact based about what led to our involvement in Iraq - and gives recommendations for exiting out of Iraq. I am very pleased to read this ...
